DID YOU KNOW
Chatham is governed by a Select Board and Open Town Meeting. The iconic Main Street commercial district is subject to local zoning bylaws that must be approved by voters at Town Meeting.
The Chatham Fish Pier is one of the last active commercial fishing piers on Cape Cod. Pier operations and maintenance are funded through the town budget, with oversight from the Select Board.
Overview
Chatham Village is the charming downtown center of the Town of Chatham, located at the "elbow" of Cape Cod where the Cape turns northward. Main Street is lined with boutique shops, galleries, and restaurants. The Chatham Lighthouse, the Fish Pier (where you can watch fishing boats unload), and Friday night summer band concerts on Kate Gould Park make this one of the most visited villages on the Cape.
