Falmouth Village
The charming downtown center of Falmouth β home to the Village Green, Main Street shops and restaurants, the Falmouth Museums on the Green, and the Shining Sea Bikeway.
History & Overview
Falmouth Village is the historic downtown of the Town of Falmouth, centered on the Village Green and Main Street. Founded in 1660, Falmouth is one of the oldest towns on Cape Cod. The village grew around its harbor and green, with churches, shops, and civic buildings establishing the classic New England town center.
Today, Falmouth Village features a walkable Main Street with restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and the Falmouth Museums on the Green (which includes the Julia Wood House). The Village Green is the community's gathering place, and the Shining Sea Bikeway begins here, running south to Woods Hole.
